Our newest boat is now taking charters out on Jocassee every weekend. The trips will run from 9:00AM -1:00PM , and 2:00PM - 6:00PM. The new boat is a custom pontoon with 5 pontoons that is 10'wide and 26' long. The benches are 21' each down both sides. The center isle is 6 foot wide. The boat is enclosed and heated during cooler months and shaded year round.

This is a very stable boat with plenty of room for groups up to 14 divers to take advantage of. We are offering a four hour 2 tank dive on Jocassee for $30, including tanks or fills for your tanks.

Off The Wall Dive Charters INC. is an Upstate-South Carolina based scuba dive charter company. We offer dive trips on Lake Jocassee, Lake Keowee, the Cooper River, Charleston SC fossil diving . We train all levels of diving from Open Water to Deep Tech and support advanced decompression diving, as our lakes and waterways offer a variety of diving opportunities.

 

 

The main vessel for our dive services is a, 28 foot long, custom pontoon dive boat with a 90 hp engine. There is 42 feet of shaded benches with tank racks and the center aisle is a roomy 6 feet wide. Our signature dive ladder is one of a kind. It is a custom built ladder on a gradual 30-degree incline to allow for easy entry and exits even with large double cylinders on your back. At the bottom of the ladder is a large platform that easily allows divers to adjust their gear comfortably before or after a dive. The boat also offers a 100-quart ice chest to accommodate those ever so crucial after dive snacks you might decide to bring along. There is a large ice water cooler as well.

Safety of our divers is a major concern, so we not only have a DAN oxygen unit on board, but several extra oxygen cylinders as well. Our captain, as well as any Divemasters on board, are DAN oxygen providers and PADI medic first aid certified. We also suspend a 10-foot long decompression/safety stop bar overboard at a depth of 20 feet for added safety and comfort. The boat is also equipped with an underwater diver recall device for communicating to the divers underwater by tone or voice.

About our Captain: Bill Routh, owner and operator of Off The Wall Dive Charters INC, & LAKE JOCASSEE DIVE SHOP LLC. Started diving in 1981. He is a PADI certified instructor (OWI-167144). He is a Trimix instructor and has been technical diving for over 17 years. He is the owner and operator of Underwater Recovery and Video . Bill has shot underwater footage for several news channel programs, as well as for the Discovery Channel, CNN. He is also a United States Coast Guard Licensed Master Captain. Bill has been diving South Carolina's lakes and rivers for many years and is one of the area's most knowledgeable diving experts. He has researched and located the Camp Jocassee for girls, Steel Bridge, and now the Attakulla Lodge on the bottom of Lake Jocassee. Bill specializes in the unique fossil dives in the Cooper River near Charleston SC.

  • $120.00 per person for all day charter on the Cooper River. Four, one hour dives (tanks not included).
  • Rental lighting with 10 watt HID available on request. Hand or helmet mount are both available.
